Hands-On Learning at Babby Farms!
Mrs. Anderson’s science classes took learning beyond the classroom this week with an exciting field trip to Babby Farms! Students got up close and personal with exotic animals—including ferrets, otters, monkeys, and even a "spicy" kangaroo (everyone made it out unscathed!).
Experiences like this remind us that learning is always amplified when it happens outside the walls of our school. Thank you to Mrs. Anderson and Babby Farms for an unforgettable hands-on science adventure!
Finishing Quarter 1 Strong & Attendance Appeals Update
We are officially nearing the home stretch of Quarter 1 with just 3 weeks left! Now is the time to encourage our students to stay focused, turn in missing work, and finish the quarter strong.
Important Note Regarding Attendance Appeals
To support academic success and credit retention, please review the following policy regarding class absences:

Absence Threshold: If a student has missed more than 5 days in any class, they will be required to submit an Attendance Appeal form.

Form Distribution: The Google Form link will be made available to students next week.

Review Meetings: Once submitted, Kyra and Griz will schedule a meeting with the student to review their attendance data and, where appropriate, set up an Improvement Plan for Quarter 2.

Grade Status (LCA): Students placed on an Improvement Plan will temporarily see LCA (Loss of Credit due to Attendance) on their report card in place of their earned grade.

Restoring Grades: Once the student demonstrates successful attendance improvement during Quarter 2, the LCA status will be converted back to the letter grade earned by the student.
