Welcome Back, Phoenixes!
We’re just one week into the new school year, and already I am so proud of our students. This year’s theme, Forged Through Fire, reminds us that strength isn’t built in easy times—it’s shaped in moments of challenge and change. As a school, we are facing some hard adjustments together, and while change is never simple, it is through these moments that we grow stronger as a community.
One of the biggest challenges this year is learning to adapt to our new cell phone policy. I know this has not been easy—for students or for staff. But I’ve already seen such resilience in the way our students are showing up, trying, and making the effort to adjust. That effort matters. It shows commitment not just to the rules, but to creating a learning environment where focus, connection, and growth can flourish.
To be an IPHS Phoenix means rising from difficulty, carrying the lessons forward, and supporting one another along the way. This first week has shown me that our students are up to the challenge. We will continue to walk this path together, with patience, persistence, and the knowledge that every trial we face is shaping us into something stronger.
Welcome back, and a special welcome to our newcomers—we are so glad you’re here. I’m looking forward to an exciting and fulfilling year of growth with all of our students.
