December Update: A Note From The Principal
Dear Phoenix Families,
With the colder weather, a little bit of snow, and the inversion that wouldn't quit, it is apparent that winter is here! Winter break and the holidays are a great time for connection, reflection, and much-needed rest! I know that this time of year can be filled with both joy and challenges, but we encourage you to pause, recharge, and spend time with those who bring you peace and happiness.

While we will miss seeing our students in the halls and classrooms during the break, we are excited to return in January and continue this year's journey together. A new year is a perfect opportunity to set fresh goals, build positive habits, and RISE- whether that's academically, socially, or personally. Being Phoenix Strong reminds us that growth often comes from resilience and the new year is full of possibilities for each of us.
Take care of yourselves this holiday season. Rest, recharge, and know that we will be here to welcome students back with open arms in 2025!

Wishing you a peaceful break and a bright start to the new year!

Counselors Corner
Hello IPHS Families!

We had some exciting events happen this December for our graduating students. Most students got their cap and gown photos done. Orders are due January 15th through the link that students were provided when they got their photos taken. If your student did not get their photos done they need to do that when the photographer holds retakes. I will communicate that information out as soon as I get it. If you’re wondering if your student got them done or not, just email me and I can let you know. Speaking of photos… we still need most seniors’ baby and senior photos! Please get those to me ASAP, either in person or scanned through email.

It is that time of year for students to fill out their FAFSA. This is where students will get the loans and grants needed to pay for college or a trade school. Tia from TRIO and I are available to help you with this application. We will be having a FAFSA Lunch Event here at IPHS for both parents and students on February 4th at 11:15 am. We can also help your student complete their Idaho LAUNCH application if they have not done so already. My goal is to have every single graduating student who is not planning on working or going into the military complete their Idaho LAUNCH application. Let me know if you have questions about this!

Lastly, I know that this is a difficult time of year for many. The combination of holiday stressors, financial needs, and the bleak weather is definitely impacting our community. If you are in need of any resources or want more support for your student please let me know.
