November Update: A Note From The Principal
Dear Phoenix Families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the resilience and dedication of our students and staff. This time of year often comes with a mix of excitement for the upcoming break and the challenge of staying focused. It makes my heart happy to see the students and staff here rising to the occasion, working hard, and making the most of each day.

This month has been full of meaningful moments. Our Student Leadership Team ran a Sources of Strength campaign on Thankfulness. The Career Fair offered students an opportunity to explore their futures and build confidence interacting with professionals in our community. As we launched into Quarter 2 we welcomed a handful of new students to our IPHS family and it's been a joy to see them embracing challenges and making connections.

Thanksgiving reminds us to pause and appreciate the people and opportunities that enrich our lives. Here at Initial Point, I am thankful for a community that supports one another and strives for excellence every day. Let’s carry this spirit of gratitude into the holiday season and beyond.

What are YOU thankful for?

Wishing you all a restful and joyful Thanksgiving break!

Thanksgiving Feast
Today IPHS held it's annual Thanksgiving Feast. Students have anticipated this celebration all month and waited patiently through their morning classes as the smells of Thanksgiving permeated our halls. Thank you to all of the parents and community members who made this event possible, we appreciate everything you do. We also want to thank Terri Reno, whose heart for our students was the driving force that started this tradition!

Happy November, IPHS Families!

This month we welcomed many different college and career representatives into our building for the annual College and Career Fair. We were so proud of our students for how welcoming and engaged they were with the vendors. Students had the opportunity to learn about many different career paths and/or college opportunities and make valuable connections. It was exciting to see them ask questions, get contact information, and win prizes!

As a reminder, we will have the SAT here in April. If your student would like to take it, please let me know so I can sign them up. It is not required for college admission in Idaho, but it is for other states and can qualify students for scholarships if they score well.

A couple of important reminders about graduation: If you are a graduating junior, please get your early grad letters in to Kyra by December 2nd. No letter, no early graduation! I need parent letters as well by this date.

If you have a graduating student this year, please don’t forget to have your students finish up their Idaho Launch application. This is an amazing scholarship opportunity that every single one of my students (aside from those enlisting in the military) qualify for. I can help students finish their application. As of right now, I only have ONE student fully done with their application and another THREE that just have to complete their Career Pathway Plan in Next Steps Idaho. Students will be entered into a drawing to win prizes (laptop, mini fridge, and more!) if they complete it by the November 30th priority deadline. Shout out to Briahannah Johnston for being the only student so far to have this step completed!

I hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break. We look forward to celebrating with our students on Thursday with our annual Thanksgiving Feast! As always, please reach out if you have questions or concerns about your student.
